Translating Legacy into an Interactive, Living Experience
This project reimagines how visitors engage with the legacy of Louis Armstrong through an interactive digital installation at the Louis Armstrong House Museum. Designed as a multi-user experience centered around a large circular touch table, the installation invites visitors to explore Armstrong’s life, music, and cultural impact in a way that is immersive, intuitive, and social. Blending archival material, sound, motion, and responsive interaction, the experience transforms historical content into something dynamic—encouraging exploration, discovery, and shared moments between visitors.
Where Music, History, and Interaction Meet
The result is an interactive storytelling experience that brings Louis Armstrong’s world to life through sound, movement, and collective exploration. By designing for both individual curiosity and group interaction, the installation creates a space where visitors don’t just consume history, they actively engage with it. Music becomes the interface, and storytelling becomes something felt, not just observed. Each interaction is designed to feel intuitive and responsive, allowing visitors of all ages to navigate the experience naturally while uncovering deeper layers of Armstrong’s legacy.
